Samantha Lubin is a professional drummer, percussionist, and drum teacher based in North London, UK.

Her current work focuses on live percussion performances with a wide range of professional artists and bands, both in the UK and internationally. Most recently, she performed at the prestigious One&Only Royal Mirage in Dubai for New Year’s Eve. Other highlights include appearances at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Paris, musically directing a private event in Sierra Leone in 2024, and the Championship Games at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Samantha trained at Paul McCartney’s renowned Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, (LIPA), earning a BA (Hons) Degree in Music. Before that, she completed a Diploma in Popular Music and Sound Technology, also at LIPA. Upon graduation, she was honoured with the Zildjian Prize awarded annually to one drummer in recognition of their exceptional dedication and achievement. She has continued to sustain associations with the cymbal brand since.

Her original band, BABYTEETH, was featured in the ISAWITFIRST music campaign and served as the main support act for Adam Ant at The Roundhouse in Camden, London. The band has also performed at major UK festivals including Kendal Calling, Neighbourhood Festival, and Live at Leeds.

In 2022, Samantha was selected as one of the top 25 drummers worldwide in her age category for the Hit Like A Girl Contest, placing 2nd in the UK. In 2023, she returned to the competition as a judge for the Moises.ai category.

Beyond performing, Samantha teaches drums and percussion at ICMP (Institute of Contemporary Music Performance) and serves as an Education Representative for the Musicians’ Union; she currently holds the position of Vice Chair of the London Regional Committee for the 2025–2026 term and is part of the Education Committee too.
